  • Summer Recreation Program - The pool at Veterans Memorial Park is now open. Hours are: Mon-Sat: 10-11:50 - Open Swim, 12-12:50 - Adult Lap Swim, 1-450 - Open Swim, 6-7:50 - Family Swim. Sunday: Noon-6 - Open Swim. Playgrounds at High School, Madison Ave, Columbian School, Intermediate School, Stephens Ave and Veterans Park are open Monday through Friday, 9-noon and 1-5.


  • Yard Waste Site - The City Yard Waste Site is open for the season. Hours: 7 am – 5 pm Thursday through Sunday. The site will be closed Monday through Wednesday and all holidays. The Yard Waste Site is open to the general public at no cost. There is a fee for contractors use.


  • STREET SWEEPER - Street sweeping has begun for the season. No parking will be permitted on city streets from midnight-6am on the night before your trash pickup.


  • Credit Cards - For your convenience, we are now accepting Visa, MasterCard and Discover for payment of your taxes, water and garbage bills. Please note that there is a convenience fee of 2.5% of the transaction or a minimum $1.95


  • Common Council Meeting - The Hornell Common Council will meet in regular session on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers, 82 Main St., Hornell.

Ambulance Billing

There is a fee for using the Ambulance and billing is done through Professional Ambulance Billing (PAB). PAB bills Medicare and Medicaid, other insurance carriers and individuals for the cost of the ambulance transports.
