St. Patrick's Day Celebration - March 14th.  A parade starts the day at 11am. Everyone is invited to participate, please contact City Hall for more information (607)324-7421.

APRIL

  HPG Easter Egg Hunt - Veteran's Memorial Park at James St.

MAY

 

Memorial Day Parade-Monday, May 25, 2009.  The parade will form at 9am and step-off at 9:30am beginning at the lower end of Main St. and finishing at the Broadway Mall.  Services honoring all veterans, will begin shortly after the parade ends at the Veteran's Memorial.  For more information you may contact The Hornell American Legion 607-324-3424.

JUNE

 

Summer Concert Series - The City of Hornell and The Evening Tribune are pleased to present the 2009 Summer Concert Series, comprised of all area local talent. Concerts will be on Broadway in front of the Elks Club unless otherwise announced.

 

                               Friday, June 12 - Hornell Area Wind Ensemble - 6:30 - 9:00 pm

                               Thursday, June 25 - Welcome Home Alumni - 6:00 - 9:00 pm

                                                               Jim Dagon (contemporary)

                                                               The Badgemen (rock)

 

 

Hornell High School Alumni Weekend  June  26, 27, 28, 29th. The celebration kicks off on Thursday evening with music on Broadway at 7pm.  Friday, classes meet at various locations to socialize and reconnect.  Saturday there will picnics during the day and the banquet for all classes in the evening.   The weekend is capped off on Sunday when many classes have planned brunches.

JULY

 

                                Maple City Sound's 20th Anniversary Show

This year's Drum and Bugle Corps competition will be held on July 1, 2009, at the Sports Complex at Maple City Park.  This exciting show will be a mix of junior corps, senior and senior alumni corps and top notch high school marching bands. There is no charge to attend this year's event.

4th of July Celebration - The day begins with a Parade down Main Street followed by festivities at the Veterans Memorial Park at James Street .

Community Wide Yard Sales - July 10 & July 11

 

- July 18, 2009 The 9th Annual Rock & Roar will kick off at 11:00 am with a parade of hundreds of motorcyles traveling south on Maple City Drive. After an afternoon ride through New York and Pennsylvania, they will finish at 5:00 pm at the Maple City Bowl for a lively evening of entertainment.
